Nesting is in my blood. While my childhood friends played soccer, I decorated. For weeks I absorbed myself with wallpapering the interior of a wine crate, weaving a rug for the floor and sewing minute cushions for the wicker furniture it housed. When it was finished, I wedged the crate in the branches of an olive tree because of the view it would provide my dolls. Years later, my parents (both professionals who were antiques dealers on the side) would take us to antiques fairs. Arriving before dawn, flashlights in hand, we'd score the best treasures before the crowds arrived. By eighteen I had mastered the art of haggling and developed a keen eye for design.
Following an advertising and marketing career in San Francisco, my pastime of decorating evolved into a bona fide business. People started to request my help to reimagine and refresh their homes. It was not only the décor that drew me to this business but also listening to and understanding my clients. My job is to interpret their vision or help them create one that reflects them perfectly. Based on that vision I select finishes and furnishings, both new and old, as well as shop a client's home for pieces to reinvent. In the end, the house becomes a home that is authentically theirs. It's an intense process that always ends in a whole lot of joy
